Transition to UK Tier 2 Visa from Tier 4 visa will be simplified for overseas students as they will not be required to wait for the results of their exams. They will be permitted to apply for the visas once they have completed their course. These plans for UK Tier 2 Visa have been outlined by the government of UK in its latest budget. They are aimed at enhancing the forthcoming ambiance of the UK for overseas talents.
The official date for Brexit to be enforced has been announced as March 29, 2019. After this date, it is likely to be tough for EU nationals to work in the UK. Thus there will be enhanced demand for overseas skilled workers. Simplifying the process of UK Tier 2 Visa will benefit both employers in the UK and overseas students with Tier 4 visas.
Tier 4 students will not be required to show that they have passed their exams from spring 2018. This is with respect to transitioning to UK Tier 2 Visa, as quoted by the Workpermit. For students who cannot qualify for this transition of visas will come under tougher UK visa requirements. The existing visa regime in the UK does not permit overseas students to transition to UK Tier 2 Visa from Tier 4 visa until completion of their studies. They have to wait until their results for passing the exams are declared.
The UK universities had informed the Home office that the existing rules are really tough for Postgraduate students. They have to wait for many months after completing the studies for securing their degree. This is the reason for the change in rules for visas.
