Transfer Wise has launched a campaign to recognize contributions of immigrants to Australian society. This was to join the Global Migrants Day celebrations of the United Nations on 18 December. The money transfer firm has also joined the call by tech community in Australia for liberalizing policies for immigration.

To highlight the contributions of immigrants to Australian society the firm also revealed its latest research report on immigration. 75% of the participants of this survey believed that Australia has become stronger by the contribution of immigrants. This was in all spheres - Social, Cultural and Economic, as quoted by the Mumbrella.

Transfer Wise unveiled two new murals in Melbourne and Sydney in commemoration of immigrants in Australia. This was also to support its latest research on immigrants. It also released an open letter regarding the significance of immigration for Australian society. This was signed by Minister of Victoria for Innovation & the Digital Economy, Trade & Investment and Small Business Philip Dalidakis.

The startup community in Australia also pledged their support for this initiative by Transfer Wise. It includes Startup Grind, H2 Ventures, inspire9, and York Butter Factory.

Kristo Ka?a?rmann CEO and Co-founder of Transfer Wise said that the firm was co-launched and nourished by immigrants. Its services are utilized by the migrants on a day to day basis. It is our belief that borders should not hold back ideas and lives, he added.

Free movement of immigrants to reside and work across borders brings vital experience to Australia. This helps the nation to spur the economy ahead and compete. It also creates more opportunities in Australia, explained Kristo Ka?a?rmann.

While compared with banks, transferring money overseas is 8 times cheaper with Transfer wise. It was launched in Australia in 2015.
