8 top New Zealand Universities find a place in the QS World University Rankings - 2018 for the best global universities. 5 of them are in the world top 300. Below are the top 10 New Zealand Universities for 2018:
1. University of Auckland:The University of Auckland is the #1 university in New Zealand and is consistently retaining its top position. It is also the most comprehensive and largest university in the nation with a student strength of 40,000+ at its 6 campuses.
2. University of Otago:It is the oldest university in New Zealand and was established in 1869. This university is based in the Dunedin City and has a student enrollment of 20,800, as quoted by the Top Universities.
3. University of Canterbury:This is one another amongst the oldest universities in New Zealand established in 1873. It has 14, 900 students out of which 1, 100 are from overseas.
4. Victoria University of Wellington:It is situated in the capital Wellington City and was established in 1897. This university offers a wide range of programs and is specifically renowned for Social Sciences, Humanities, and Law.
5. University of Waikato:It is ranked at the 5th place for the top 10 New Zealand Universities. Established in 1964, this university is mainly situated in the Hamilton City.

9. Eastern Institute of Technology:EIT is accredited by the NZQA - New Zealand Qualification Authority and offers recognized degrees. The method of learning here is enriched with highly qualified academic staff.
10. Manukau Institute of Technology:It has 6 campuses across Auckland. Many of its campuses and study facilities are situated right amidst the industry offering the needed contacts, skills, and networks to the students.
