Top 10 Indian Universities producing H-1B visa holders – PG

The top 10 Indian Universities producing the highest numbers of H-1B visa holders at the Master’s degree level do not have either the IITs or the IIMs. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Hyderabad topped the list as 403 of its PG alumni have secured the H-1B visas. The second place is bagged by the Anna University in Chennai with 391. The IITs barely made it to the list of top 25.

 

The H-1B visas are allocated through a lottery. This means that the Indian Universities with large students have chances of bagging more number of visas as well, as quoted by the Scroll In.

 

The top 25 list of Indian Universities producing the highest numbers of H-1B visa holders at the Master’s degree level has many US Universities also. This is not at all surprising as Indian students are the second largest overseas nationals at the universities in the US. 55% of the Overseas PG students in the US are from India.
