As a precautionary measure, Thailand has withdrawn the Visa on arrival service for 18 countries to stop the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic. Thailand has also suspended the Visa-free service of three other countries to stop the epidemic from spreading.
Earlier, nationals of 18 countries could use their travel documents or passports to apply for Visa on arrival in Thailand. These countries were:
However, amidst the Coronavirus outbreak, the above countries have been temporarily suspended from the Visa on arrival list of eligible countries. Citizens of these countries would need to apply for a Visa to gain entry into Thailand.
South Korea, Hong Kong and Italy were earlier eligible for Visa-free travel to Thailand. However, due to the ongoing Coronavirus crisis, the Visa exemption has been cancelled until further notice.
