Skilled worker visas in Canada will be made more easily attainable

Canadian Minister for Economic Development, Science, and Innovation Navdeep Bains and Minister of Workforce Development, Labour, and Employment Patty Hajdu announced the launching of the new visas program in Toronto and said that this will make the skilled workers visas in Canada more easily attainable.

The government of Canada, as well as a host of technology firms in Canada, has praised the program as an opportunity to welcome more overseas workers to accentuate innovation. This will also enable Canada to compete at the international level, stimulate the economic development of Canada and generate more jobs in the nation.

Elaborating on the new skilled worker visa program, Mr. Bains said that diverse business enterprises with whom he had interacted with informed him that it was a chief concern for them to recruit highly skilled overseas workers with low risk. He, however, did not identify the ceiling on the kinds of jobs that would be included in the scope of the new visas and the validity of the visas.

The firms that wish to avail these visas will, however, have to demonstrate that the hiring done through the new category of skilled worker visas will result in enhancement of skills in the long term and create jobs for the Canadian citizens.

It has been revealed that the new Global Talent visa program will facilitate the firms to benefit from an improved assessment program for labor-market impact reducing the application processing to ten days and even the applications of workers would be processed within ten days.
