Saskatchewan Province has reopened sub category of In Demand jobs for skilled overseas workers under the SINP – Overseas Skilled Worker. 1,200 fresh applications will be accepted through this program that has reopened on August 9, 2017.
Skilled overseas workers who apply to this sub-category are received on first provided for first come basis. It is also not aligned with the Canada Express entry immigration intake program. Employment offer is not compulsory for qualified applicants to furnish an application under this category.
A provincial nomination certificate will be offered to skilled overseas workers who are successful in their applications. Through this nomination, the applicant along with the accompanying spouse or common -law-partner and dependent children can apply for Canada PR with the IRCC.
The present intake is the third intake period for 2017, as quoted by the CIC News.
Overseas workers who intend to apply for the In- Demand occupations sub-category under the SINP –Skilled Overseas Worker must satisfy the below criterions:
Must possess evidence for legal status if residing in Canada
Must have a language score of at least 4 in Canadian Language Benchmark
Must possess minimum 1 year of education at the post-secondary level or training on par with the education system in Canada
Must have a minimum of 1 year of salaried work experience in the last 10 years relevant to their field of training or education. It must be in a skilled work that is considered to be in demand in Saskatchewan.
Must obtain eligibility proof for Saskatchewan licensure in case if their area of work is regulated in the province and needs compulsory certification
Must have evidence of settlement plan and settlement funds
Secure at least 60 points over 100 through the point assessment grid
