Results of the 2 draws held in October 2020 have been announced by the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program [SINP].

While the October 21 SINP draw included candidates from the pathways of Express Entry as well as Occupations In-Demand under the International Skilled Worker category, the SINP draw on October 7 focused on Express Entry candidates alone.

The previous SINP draw was held on September 24, 2020.

There are 3 SINP categories that can be applied to for settling in Saskatchewan –

International Skilled Worker For skilled workers that wish to live and work in the province
Saskatchewan Experience For foreign nationals already living and working in Saskatchewan
Entrepreneur and Farm For those planning on either starting a business or buying and operating a farm in the province

There are 3 ‘streams’ or immigration pathways that come under the category of International Skilled Worker of the SINP. These are –

International Skilled Worker: Employment Offer For skilled workers that have a job offer for a skilled occupation in Saskatchewan
International Skilled Worker: Occupation In-Demand For skilled workers that don’t have a job offer in the province but are highly skilled in any of the in-demand occupations.
International Skilled Worker: Saskatchewan Express Entry For skilled workers that have their profiles in the federal Express Entry pool and intend living and working in Saskatchewan.

In order to be eligible for receiving an invitation from the SINP, the candidate is required to create their Expression of Interest [EOI] profile. On the successful creation of an EOI profile, a score – referred to as the EOI score – is allotted.

A pre-application for indicating an interest in settling in Saskatchewan, an International Skilled Worker EOI submission is not an application as such.

Following the assessment of the eligibility of the candidate, an EOI score is allotted as per the International Skilled Worker: Points Assessment Grid.

A minimum score of 60 points out of a total 100 will be required in order to be able to apply through the International Skilled Worker category of the SINP.
