Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan OID – the sub-category In-Demand Occupations opened very briefly to accept 400 applications and closed within just a few hours of opening. This shows that immigrant applicants who are proactive can be rewarded.

The brief opening of the Saskatchewan OID was similar to the previous opening of the category on 2 August 2017. The intake of 1,200 applications was exhausted quickly even in this instance, as quoted by the CIC News.

The Overseas Skilled Worker sub-category of the Saskatchewan OID operates on the basis of first served for first arrived. This implies that the fastest 400 applicants are able to submit their applications. Immigrants who are interested to submit applications in this category do not require a job offer in Canada.

The applicants must have all the necessary federal and provincial forms in order to apply. They must also possess each and every one of the other mandatory documents. These include:

  • Civil status and Identity documents
  • Passports
  • Training/Education credentials
  • Credentials for work experience
  • Licensure or Evidence of professional status if it is applicable
  • Language credentials

All the necessary documents must be legible with clarity and must be copies of the original. If the documents are not in French or English, the below must be submitted:

  • Copy of the original documents
  • Copy of the French or English translation of the documents
  • Copy of affidavit by the translator that describes their ability for translation

The guidelines for submitting applications in the sub-category state that all documents and translations must be mandatorily submitted. Otherwise, applications will be deemed to be incomplete and will be closed. Thus it is crucial for the immigrant applicants to be prepared with all necessary documents for Canada Immigration.
