In the latest draw conducted on 12th November, Saskatchewan issued 525 invitations to Express Entry and Occupations In-demand candidates.

The Express Entry sub-stream of the SINP (Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program) is linked to IRCC’s Express Entry Program. The 12th November draw invited 303 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination. A provincial nomination gets you an additional 600 points on your CRS score.

If you do not have an Express Entry ID, you may apply under the Occupations In-demand category. The 12th November draw invited 222 candidates under this stream.

You do not need a job offer to apply under either the Express Entry or the Occupations In-demand categories. However, you must have at least one year of relevant work experience in an eligible occupation.

The SINP has been pretty regular in conducting invitation rounds. Since 25th September, the SINP has conducted 12 invitation rounds inviting 5,229 candidates.

These draws were conducted after Saskatchewan expanded its list of eligible occupations from 19 to over 200. Ever since the occupation list was revised, Saskatchewan has invited candidates under a wide variety of occupations.

In the 12th November draw, candidates in almost 94 occupations were invited to apply for a provincial nomination. Notable ones are database analysts and administrators, human resource managers, power engineers, power system operators, and drafting technologists and technicians.

To apply for a provincial nomination through Saskatchewan, you must first register an Expression of Interest. Eligible EOIs are scored on the Saskatchewan points grid out of a total of 100 points. Your score determines your rank in the Saskatchewan EOI pool. Candidates who score the highest are invited through regular invitation rounds conducted by the SINP.

You should also note that you must have an “Education Credential Assessment” before you apply under the SINP.

The cut-off score in the 12th November SINP draw was 69 points.
