Individuals who possess an authentic Quebec Selection Certificate can work in the province even without the Impact Assessment for Labor Market for the job (LMIA). They can submit the application for renewal or extension of their work permit in Quebec.
The arrangement for exemption of Impact Assessment for Labor Market - LMIA is under the pact with the federal government in Canada. Through this, it allows exemption of LMIA for select overseas workers who possess Quebec Selection Certificate. It is especially applicable for workers in the Quebec Experience Class and Skilled Worker Program.
They must also possess a valid work permit and reside in the Quebec province, as quoted by the Canadavisa. These workers can then extend or renew their work permit with the existing employer even without the LMIA. There is no restraint on the skill level of the job that is offered to a worker with Quebec Selection Certificate.
