Princeton has been named as the Best US School for overseas students for 2018. It is a heavyweight in the Ivy League. It is renowned for its historic grounds being situated in New Jersey. Princeton is not unfamiliar to accolades. This institution has been listed #1 in the Top US Universities for overseas students by US News.
The institutions listed in the ranking are those that provide a complete range of Undergraduate majors, Masters, and Ph.D. programs. These are also successfully assisting the overseas students both outside as well as inside the classrooms, as quoted by the Study International.
The methodology used by US News considers academic factors that include the 6-year graduation rate for overseas students. It also includes cultural and social supports such as the availability of overseas student organizations.
It appears that excellence of top US Schools is not just limited to academics. They are also at the forefront in supporting overseas students. The Best US School Princeton is followed by the Yale University. Columbia University is next in the list at the fifth position followed by Stanford and MIT - Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The University of Geneva has launched the In Zone initiative. It is aimed at offering innovative approaches to communication that is multilingual. It is also applicable to overseas higher education for communities affected by crisis and conflict.
Refugees from Syria who are residing at Azraq refugee camp in Jordan have enrolled themselves in various courses devised by the Princeton University. These are through the In Zone initiative. This includes courses in History as well.
The New York Declaration for Immigrants and Refugees has been signed by 193 UN Member nations. It stresses the need for education to be included in the global response to the challenges of immigration.
