PEI Canada or Prince Edward Island needs to improve its regulations for business migrants. The latest statistics have revealed that 1 out of every 5 migrants who were dedicated to running a business in PWI Canada for 365 days were away overseas for more than 100 days. It has been revealed by the documents of the government for the fiscal year 2017.
In spite of being away from PEI Canada for such a long time, they have retained the business visa program. They have also been offered the Canada PR offering free movement anywhere in the nation, as quoted by CBC CA.
The statistics have been obtained by the media in Canada through the laws for information freedom. These have revealed that 88 business immigrants traveled outside from PEI Canada. They have undertaken agreements that assure running firms in the province for 12 months.
The rates of absence of these business immigrants indicate that Prince Edward Island must improve its rules for business immigrants. These must be on par with the higher standards that prevail in other immigration programs of Canada.
Vancouver based immigration expert Richard Kurland said that the island province just needs to better its standards in this aspect. The program of the province for business immigrants says that they must offer continued and active management of the business by staying in the province. But the agreement also adds that the newly arrived immigrants must only spend 50% of the year in Canada.
One immigrant was identified to have been away for 182 days, just 1 day short of the maximum permitted days of absence. He is also a successful participant in the island’s program for business immigrants. Around 43% were away from Canada for more than 50 days.
