PEI Canada conducts 1st PR draw for 2019

PEI Canada – Prince Edward Island conducted its first draw for 2019 on 17 January. Provincial Nominee Program of PEI offered 91 ITAs to candidates for immigration. This was through its 3 categories:

• Express Entry
• Labour Impact
• Business Impact

61 invitations were offered to candidates in the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams. 31 invitations were offered to candidates in the Work Permit Business stream of PEI Canada. This category is for qualified overseas entrepreneurs. They must have eligible management experience or ownership of the business. Applicants must be willing to invest and manage a business in PEI Canada.

The Work Permit category also functions on an EOI basis, as quoted by the CIC News. The lowest ranked candidate to receive the invite in the latest draw had a score of 120.

Overseas immigrants who are seeking PR in PEI Canada can obtain it through a nomination from the PEI PNP. Candidates are chosen depending upon their intention to work and live in PEI. It is also based on their financial ability for settling in the province.

Priority for selection is offered to entrepreneurs and candidates eligible to work in fields that have specific shortages of skills in the labour market of PEI.

Application for Canada PR through PEI Express Entry can be submitted through PEI PNP. A nomination from PEI PNP will enhance your prospects of receiving an ITA from the Canadian Government.
