The report published by the Cambridge News has revealed that the UK has vast opportunities for overseas workers as several of its cities are struggling with severe skill shortages. The vacancies for healthcare workers, nurses, and scientists in Cambridge are unfilled for several months now. This provides a large scope to the highly skilled overseas workers to arrive in the UK for being employed in diverse jobs.
However, the overseas workers can avail these jobs through the UK Tier 2 Visas and the firm offering them the job in the UK must possess a license for sponsoring the overseas workers through the UK Tier 2 Visas, as quoted by the Workpermit.
As per the research report of Adzuna the job site in the UK, almost one out of five jobs advertised for science stream remain unfilled and one out of ten jobs advertised for nursing and healthcare remained vacant even after 3 months.
It has also been revealed by the reports that diverse cities in the UK are struggling to fill vacancies for several jobs and this includes Brighton, Cambridge, and London. The list of cities struggling with skill shortages also includes Sunderland and has spread till Middlesbrough to North East.
Doug Monro the Co-founder of Adzuna said that specific sectors in the UK have really been adversely affected by the shortage of skilled workers and the situation is still deteriorated by the uncertainty hovering due to Brexit.
As the vacancies remain unoccupied for several months, it is having a drastic impact on the firms in the UK as their workload gets increased and priority work gets delayed.
