Ontario’s HCP stream will issue NOIs and accept immigrant applications revealed the immigration authorities. Human Capital Priorities stream – HCP is one of the most popular streams for immigrating to Canada. It is a Provincial Nominee Program aligned with the Express entry.
It is also expected that OINP will issue fresh Notifications of Interest to qualified applicants. These will be offered to the candidates in the Express entry pool before the conclusion of 2017.
Human Capital Priorities stream is a major component of the Immigrant Nominee Program Ontario. It is one of the provincial nominee programs of Canada. Candidates who are successful in this stream are offered 600 extra CRS points. This implies an ITA to apply for Canada PR in the consequent draw held in the Express entry pool, as quoted by the CIC News.
Human Capital Priorities stream of Ontario is an exclusive program aligned with the Express entry stream. It is because of its passive operational model. It is not based on priority for first submitted applications. HCP stream is also not based on Expression of Interest.
Immigrant Nominee Program of Ontario searches the pool for qualified candidates. It then issues NOIs to candidates who can successfully settle in the province. It accepts immigrant applications from applicants who have received ITA for nomination from the province. They have to apply through the OINP.
The staff of the OINP confirmed that it will accept immigrant applications and offer fresh NOIs before the conclusion of 2017. This will be in line with the annual PNP allocation of the province. OINP has last issued the NOIs in July this year. Candidates who were eligible at that time but did not receive the NOI must now create a new Express entry profile. This will make it easy for Ontario to locate their profile during its search.
