Ontario’s Human Capital Priorities HCP stream has offered NOIs for Canadian PR to 340 applicants in the first round of 2018 held on 22 January. It is an important PNP stream aligned with federal Express entry.
The round for offering NOIs for Canadian PR to 340 applicants held on 22 January was innovative for diverse factors. It was the first round of NOIs held for 2018. It was also the first occasion wherein this level of detail about the round was offered by the Government of Ontario.
Ontario announced the number of NOIs that were offered in this round to be 340. It also announced the CRS score of Express entry candidates who were selected. The average CRS score of the candidates who received NOIs in this round was between 446 and 440, as quoted by the CIC News.
The candidates whose Express entry CRS scores were less than 440 were not offered the NOI. But the government of Ontario did announce that OINP will be regularly offering NOIs to candidates who possess 400 CRS score. They must also satisfy the all the criterions for eligibility, it added.
One more crucial information was revealed by Ontario on this occasion. It declared the date of submission of Express entry profiles. In the 22 January round, only those candidates who have submitted their profiles between 1 to 19 January were offered the NOIs.
The HCP category is a crucial part of the OINP. OINP is one of the popular PNPs of Canada. Applicants who are successful in the HCP stream are offered 600 extra CRS points. This results in receiving an ITA for Canadian PR in the subsequent Express entry draw.
