Ontario invites 488 candidates for Provincial Nomination

Human Capital Priorities Stream of Ontario has invited 488 candidates for Provincial Nomination. These candidates had a profile in the national Express entry pool of Canada. This Provincial Nominee Program stream of Ontario has so far offered 1, 297 invitations in 2018.

The round for offering 488 Provincial nomination invites was held on 12 February. It offered NOIs to chosen candidates in the Express entry pool. The invited candidates had a Comprehensive Ranking System score between 441 and 453 points, as quoted by the CIC News.

The time and date when the selected candidates had submitted their profiles in Express entry have been revealed by Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program. For the February 12 round, it was 4 PM Eastern Standard Time and the dates were between 1 January and 8 February 2018.

Candidates who have received the invitation can now submit their applications for a Provincial Nomination. Those who are successful will receive 600 extra CRS points. This will ensure an invite to apply for Canada PR in the subsequent Express entry draw.

Ontario searches for candidates in the Express entry pool through the Human Capital Priorities Stream. It selects candidates who fulfill diverse criterions including minimum CRS core of 400.

The February 12 round is the fourth to be held in 2018 so far via the Ontario Human Capital Priorities Stream. Totally 1, 297 invites have been offered in these 4 rounds. The remaining there rounds were held on 23 and 15 January and 8 February.

The OINP said that candidates who received the invites in this round were selected through a search held on 25 January. It added that it will keep offering invites to qualified candidates in the Express entry pool regularly.
