Ontario invites 486 Express Entry candidates under HCP Stream

On October 6, 2021, Ontario PNP draw was held and invited 486 Express Entry Candidates. These candidates belong to the 18 occupations which includes nurses, managers, and human resource professionals and others.

This Ontario Immigration Nominee Program was held after a two-month pause under the new Human Capital Priorities Stream. These candidates are eligible to apply for a provincial nomination which supports their permanent residency application, if they meet the eligibility criteria.

The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), associated with the Express Entry system, automatically adds 600 points additional points towards candidates overall score if they get nominated.

The candidates invited in this Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) invited Express Entry candidates having a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores between 463 and 467.

The candidates invited in this OINP draw having work experience in any of the following 18 occupations:

NOC 1121	Human resources professionals
NOC 1122	Professional occupations in business management consulting
NOC 2161	Mathematicians, statisticians and actuaries
NOC 3012	Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses
NOC 3211	Medical laboratory technologists
NOC 3231	Opticians
NOC 3233	Licensed practical nurses

These Express Entry candidates invited in this draw should have a minimum of one year experience in any of the above occupations listed in order to receive the provincial nomination. If the candidates are nominated under this or the Express Entry-linked PNP, then they will directly placed in the front line to receive the Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.

Role of provincial nominations in getting ITAs for Express Entry candidates

Express Entry candidates who received the PNP nomination will receive an additional 600 CRS points to their overall score. This guarantees them to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in a subsequent federal Express Entry draw.
