New Canada PR path for Doctors has been launched by Nova Scotia – Physician Stream in Nova Scotia Nominee Program on 22 February 2018. This Provincial Nominee Program of Nova Scotia permits streamlining of migration processes for Doctors. It is for those who have a job offer from a health organization in Nova Scotia.
Physician Stream in Nova Scotia Nominee Program is a new Canada PR path for overseas Doctors. They can accentuate their immigration process to become Permanent Residents in Canada. For this, the overseas national must have a valid job offer for the position of a physician. This can be either at IWK Health center or Health Authority Nova Scotia, as quoted by the Canadim.
Both IWK and NSHA mandate eligibility screening for potential workers. This is for practicing as a Physician in Nova Scotia. This means that overseas nationals must possess credentials to work in Nova Scotia. Otherwise, they will not receive job offers from the health organizations.
Potential immigrants must first be cleared by either IWK or NSHA through the process of hiring. After this, they will be qualified to apply to the College of Surgeons and Physicians of NS for a licensure. The qualified job offers must be present as either 3111 or 3112 in the federal classification for occupation the NOC.
Eligible doctors for this stream can submit an online application via the web portal of Nova Scotia Nominee Program. If they are successful they will be offered a nomination from Nova Scotia. This will enable them to apply for Canada PR with the federal government.
The applicants who are successful in the Physician Stream will also be offered a support letter for the work visa. This will enable them to apply for a provisional work visa. It is during the processing of their Canada PR.
