A new immigrant scheme In-Demand Skills Stream Employer Job Offer has been launched by the Ontario government. The new immigrant scheme In-Demand Skills Stream Employer Job Offer has been announced on August 16, 2017, and commenced from the same date. It is a pilot for overseas workers in much demand occupations and who have a job offer in Ontario, as quoted by the CIC News.
The new immigrant scheme is a part of the Immigrant Nominee Program of Ontario. It permits the province to nominate overseas immigrants for immigrating to Canada based on the criterion that it has set.
At the time of the launch, the new immigrant scheme launched by Ontario includes occupations from the Construction and Agriculture sectors.
Overseas immigrants, who cater to all the eligibility requirements, have a full-time permanent job offer and possess the signed Employer form that is completed can, apply for the new immigrant scheme. The job offer must be in any one of the eligible occupations in the Federal Occupation Classification with skill level D or C.
Applicants must have a job offer from a qualified employer in Ontario that satisfies the below-mentioned criterions:
It must be a full time and permanent job in the Construction or Agricultural sector
It should cater to the existing salary slabs for that region and occupation in Ontario
If the overseas immigrant applicant is already employed in the required position, then the employer must satisfy the existing requirements and offer a salary that is more than or equal to the current salary.
The immigrants who intend to apply for the new immigrant scheme In-Demand Skills Stream Employer Job Offer must also satisfy the below requirements:
They must have one year of work experience obtained in Ontario within 3 years of the application for the In-Demand Skills Stream Employer Job Offer
The work experience must be full-time, paid and in a job that is in the list of qualified occupations in Ontario
To satisfy for the work experience clause, seasonal work experience is not applicable
They must possess education level above or on par with secondary school education in Canada that is accredited by a suitable assessment for Educational Credentials
The applicants must possess a valid license or certificate at the time of applying for work experience being claimed in a job that mandates license or certificate
They must have French or English language level of 4 in Canadian Language Benchmark in all the competencies for language
The applicants must have adequate income or funds in Ontario
