A new forum for UK Indian professionals has been launched in London for Brexit. This forum will ensure that the voice of the UK Indian professionals reaches the government of UK. It will ensure that their concerns are addressed even as the UK takes crucial decisions for the exit from the EU.
The forum launched in London is the Indian Professionals Forum –IPF. It is a club of members and a not for profit think tank for policy advocacy related to Indian Diaspora. The IPF will be the collective voice of the UK Indian professionals to enhance their participation in the mainstream. It will also assist to identify prospects for contribution to strengthen ties between the UK and India.
The President of the IPF Dr. Mohan Kaul said that the UK will continue to remain a chosen destination for Indian professionals. This remains whether Brexit is there or even without it, added Dr. Kaul. He was addressing the event for launching the IPF in London, as quoted by the Times of India.
The IPF is open for Entrepreneurs, Business people, Engineers, Scientists, Artists, and Academics. It is supported by the UK Indian High Commission. The forum will encourage the participation of its members in advocacy of policy at high-level. It will also assist in identification of such opportunities.
India’s High Commissioner to the UK, Y K Sinha said that a very large number of UK Indian professionals are making a valuable contribution to the UK. They are present cross diverse sectors and are also assisting to enhance ties between India and the UK, added Mr. Sinha. Indian professionals will also be crucial in defining the outline of a thriving partnership between both the nations, said the High Commissioner.
