The latest Canada EE – Express Entry draw held on 23 January continued with the record beginning for 2019. It offered 3,900 ITAs for Canada PR Visa to candidates with scores as less as 443.
7,800 Invitations to Apply for PR have been offered to federal Express Entry candidates after the beginning of 2019. This is the maximum ITAs offered as of 23 January since the launch of Canada EE in 2015.
The record start for 2019 is not surprising as Canada has higher targets of admission in 2019 and 2020. This is for candidates in the Federal High Skilled economic immigration streams. Majority of their applications for Canada PR are processed via the Express Entry system.
The minimum CRS – Comprehensive Ranking System score for candidates in the latest draw was 6 points lesser than the threshold score in the first draw for 2019. It was held on 10 January 2019, as quoted by the CIC News. The 443 score in the latest draw was also the least score so far in January draw held under the Express Entry system.
The decrease in the CRS score can be attributed to the fact that just 2 weeks passed between the 2 invitation rounds. Meanwhile, there was a gap of 3 weeks between the 10 January draw and its preceding draw held on 19 December 2018.
The tie-break time and date for the 23 January Canada EE draw were 03:55:26 UTC and 2 January 2019. Thus, all candidates with CRS score 443 plus got the ITA for Canada PR Visa. The candidates who scored 443 and entered their profile before the precise time and date in the Express Entry pool too obtained the ITAs in the latest round.
