New Brunswick Express Entry category has opened for priority occupations candidates who have attended the information session held by New Brunswick authorities. These candidates can submit an application for an enhanced nomination from the province. However, this option is only available for a limited period. The occupations on the priority list include Healthcare, IT, Food services, Finance and Retail.
The New Brunswick Express Entry category is under Labor Market Stream of Express entry in the Provincial Nominee Program of New Brunswick. Through this category, the province targets overseas workers who meet the skills and experience required by it in the Express entry pool.
Labor Market Stream of Express entry functions on the basis of Expression of Interest -EOI. Through this eligible candidates must register first prior to receiving an invitation to apply to the program. Applicants who are successful receive 600 extra CRS points and an ITA for Canada PR at the federal level when a subsequent draw is held by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada.
Once this limited intake is closed EOIs will only be accepted by New Brunswick from people who are working in the province. It will also accept EOIs from individuals who possess a job offer from an employer in the province.
As per the new strategy implemented for New Brunswick Express Entry category the prospective applicants require to:
Be registered in the pool of Federal Express entry
Be qualified through the criteria for EELMS. This includes having relevant work experience, adequate funds, education credential assessment and valid language exam.
Have participated in an information session in the last 2 years
Be employed in one of the priority occupations
