Nationals of Romania and Bulgaria can now avail Canada ETA or Electronic Travel Authorization from 9 December 2017. They will no longer require a Temporary Resident Visa or TRV to arrive in Canada.
The nationals of these two nations can now arrive in Canada similar to other nationalities that enjoy visa exemption. They can obtain a Canada ETA prior to boarding flight and go ahead with their air travel. It is applicable to all Nationals of Romania and Bulgaria transiting through or flying to Canada.
These two nationalities that possess a valid Canada visa can carry on with its use for travel or transit. They can use the visa till it expires and is not required to have an ETA or Electronic Travel Authorization until that time, as quoted by the Canadavisa.
The application process of Canada ETA is quite hassle-free. Applicants are required to provide specific personal data. They are also required to answer certain essential queries related to medical issues or criminality.

Electronic Travel Authorization is a requirement for overseas nationals of countries that enjoy visa exemption for air travel to Canada. It is digitally linked to the passport of the traveler. It has validity until the expiry of the passport or 5 years. You will need a fresh Electronic Travel Authorization when you obtain a new passport upon expiry of the old.
Permanent Residents in Canada must travel with their valid Canada PR Card or PR travel certificate and passport that is valid.
