Malaysia announces E-Visas for immigrant entrepreneurs

Malaysia The Government of Malaysia has announced that it will be offering E-Visas for immigrant entrepreneurs who are inclined to do business in the nation. The aspiring immigrant entrepreneurs will need an innovative business strategy and their businesses can grow considerably well. Recently Malaysia introduced a free E-visa for Indian nationals. The e-visa will be processed within 48 working hours and the validity of the visa is for 30 days. The visa fees have been waived off as well, except for the processing charges, wherein the applicant will have to pay USD20. Documents needed for the E-visa
  • Scan all the needed documents and upload them along with the application
  • A recent color photograph
  • Scan the passport page where the image is available
  • Confirmed booking of the return flight
The immigrant entrepreneurs have to send the documents to the Malaysian Immigration Department. The documents are verified, after which the application is approved. In the case of an interview or any other documents that are needed, the applicant will be informed through emails about the same. After 48 working hours, an e-visa will be sent which needs to be printed. The e-visa will be sent on an A4 printout format. Applicants must be attentive to read their email notifications. As a business traveler on an E-visa, you will be limited to these activities
  • Attend business seminars
  • Audit company accounts
  • Authorized to visit current project sites
  • Factory inspections are allowed
  • Participate in investment opportunity surveys
  • Any other contract related discussions are permitted
Documents needed upon arrival in Malaysia
  • An A4 print out of the e-visa
  • Evidence of sufficient funds for your stay
  • Proof of accommodation
  • A confirmation of the return flight tickets
The Malaysian government recently has waived off visa fee for Indians, which is good news for travelers who can get the eNTRI, an e-visa for traveling. While you exit Malaysia you will be asked to present the e-visa, an exit stamp will be sealed and then you are allowed to leave the country.
