Scholarships worth more than 1.8 million Australian dollars have been rolled out by the Macquarie University for students from India. These scholarships also permit the students to be employed in a part time job in Australia that will enable them to get benefitted with industry experience also.
The scholarships will have a focus on the prospects and support for female students in the postgraduate courses and for students in the undergraduate courses in the Macquarie University.
Macquarie International Women's Scholarship:
The Global Women’s Scholarship of the Macquarie University will facilitate the female students from India to realize the goals of their career. This will be done by enhancing the accessibility of securing a globally accredited post-graduate degree from the Macquarie University.
The university will offer scholarships of 11,000 Australian dollars for the tuition fee of the course duration.
Macquarie University Undergraduate Scholarship:
The undergraduate scholarship of the Macquarie University is available for the students who wish to pursue an undergraduate course in the university. The scholarship of 17,000 Australian dollars is available for the students for their tuition fees.
Eligibility:
All the students who apply for the undergraduate or postgraduate courses are eligible for these scholarships. The students who wish to avail this scholarship must compulsorily have a letter of offer that qualifies them for the scholarship.
Partnership with three colleges in India:
Macquarie University has collaborated with three universities in India. Through this, the university will offer grants and scholarships worth more than 200,000 Australian dollars for the students of post graduate courses in these universities.
The institutes with whom Macquarie University has entered into collaboration are Delhi’s Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Kolkata’s St. Xavier's College and Mumbai’s The Tata Institute of Social Science University.
Ambassador Scholarship and Merit Scholarship will be offered by the Faculty of Arts of the Macquarie University as a part of these collaborations.
Merit Scholarship: Under this scholarship, the students will be given 50 percent of the tuition fees by the Faculty of Arts of the university.
Ambassador Scholarship: Under this scholarship, the students will be waived the complete tuition fees of their exchange semester and grant of 5000 Australian dollars for their expenses for livelihood.
