In the latest draw on July 14, 2020, British Columbia has invited 320 immigration candidates through 5 streams under the categories of Skills Immigration [SI] and Express Entry BC [EEBC].
The previous BC PNP draw, a Tech Pilot draw, was held on July 7, 2020.
EEBC is one among the around 80 immigration pathways that come under Canada’s Provincial Nominee Program [PNP]. The EEBC category – as the name suggests – is aligned with the federal Express Entry system.
Those invited in the latest British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program [BC PNP] draw can now apply to the BC PNP for a provincial nomination.
On securing a nomination, 600 additional points will be added to their Comprehensive Ranking System [CRS] scores. With the added boost, it is almost a guarantee that they will be issued an Invitation to Apply [ITA] in the subsequent federal Express Entry draw to be held.
Overview of the July 14, 2020, BC PNP draw – Total 320 invitations sent:
| Category | Minimum Expression of Interest [EOI] Score |
| EEBC – Skilled Worker | 98 |
| EEBC – International Graduate | 98 |
| SI – Skilled Worker | 98 |
| SI – International Graduate | 98 |
| SI – Entry Level and Semi-Skilled | 76 |
Canada immigration candidates that are interested in applying through the BC PNP’s Skills Immigration [SI] category are required to get themselves registered with the province’s Skills Immigration Registration System [SIRS].
Those interested in applying through the Express Entry BC [EEBC] pathway must have a federal Express Entry profile along with registration with the SIRS.
