Below are the latest Canada OINP updates (Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program Updates) that aspiring immigrants to Ontario must be aware of:
New Designated French Language Test and Testing Organization
TCF Canada is administered by the CIEP - Centre international d'études pédagogiques and is available in only French. It is now accepted by Canada OINP. IRCC - Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada designated the organization on 7 November 2018.
Updated Employer Form
The Employer form has been updated by Canada OINP. It now has extra guidelines and useful tips for completing the form. Additionally, employers can now appoint an Authorized Representative for conducting business with OINP on their behalf. This is in section A of the form, as quoted by the CIC News.
Changes to the Employer Job Offer
Employers are now not needed to offer extra supporting documents at the time of application. This is to demonstrate that they fulfill the program criteria for the Stream In-Demand Skills. All streams for Employer Job offer are now aligned - In-Demand Skills, International Student, and Foreign Worker.
Clarification for Authorized Representatives
The description of an Authorized Representative has been changed to line up with the 2015 OIA - the Ontario Immigration Act. Only authorized representatives under OIA can be appointed by an employer or applicant.
Updated Guides for Application
The guides for program application have all been updated. Applicants must ensure that they refer to the latest application guides prior to filing an application with the Canada OINP.
