Below is the summary of the Canada immigration and visa updates for immigrant aspirants that occurred in the last few weeks:
272 skilled workers invited by Manitoba on 23 November draw
272 skilled workers were invited by Manitoba on 23 November draw through the Provincial Nominee Program Manitoba. The streams through which the invitations were offered are Overseas Skilled Worker and Manitoba Skilled Workers. Invitation to apply was offered to 250 candidates through the Manitoba Skilled Workers category. The lowest ranked candidate who received the invitation had a score of 567.
Apart from this, 22 skilled workers received the invitation through the sub-category Overseas Skilled Worker. It was under the Initiative for Strategic Recruitment, as quoted by the CIC News.
Country list for required medical examinations updated by IRCC
The Canadian government has updated its list of nations for whom it is mandatory to have immigration medical examination. This is applicable for application to the Temporary Resident Visa –TRV. The IME requirements for the following nations have been removed: Venezuela, Surinam, Seychelles, Portugal, Wallis and Futuna French collectivity, Colombia, Belize, Bahrain, and Argentina.
379 more workers and graduates invited by British Columbia in the latest draws
379 more workers and graduates were invited by British Columbia in the latest draw held on 15 and 8 November 2017. These draws continued to invite candidates at low threshold scores as usual. The invitations were offered through the Provincial Nominee Program British Columbia. These candidates can now apply for a nomination from the province.
Immigration Registration System for Skills manages many of the categories under the Provincial Nominee Program British Columbia. Candidates are first required to register an account to be able to apply through SIRS.
