Just immigration rules are needed to attract overseas talents to the UK, according to Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi the UK Member of Parliament. He had created history by becoming the first Sikh turbaned UK Member of Parliament. This was welcomed and commemorated in the UK, Punjab and Punjabi Diaspora.
Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi said that stringent immigration rules have harmed the UK. Talented overseas students are now choosing other overseas destinations. Immigration rules that benefit the UK are the need of the hour, explained the UK MP. Owing to the negative immigration rules of the Tory government, business as well as talents is being lost by the UK, elaborated to Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi.
The immigration rules of the UK must be made fair and immigration should be manageable while also ensuring that the flow of talent is not curbed added Mr. Dhesi. It must also be ensured that is proportionate intake while not sidelining the best and bright minds, said Mr. Dhesi, as quoted by the Times of India.
There is no scarcity of Indian-origin people in the UK who would like to serve the nation and there is a lot that is determined by the system, said the first Sikh turbaned UK Member of Parliament. The UK Parliament in the June 9 elections has elected a number of lady MPs and MPs from minority communities said Tanmanjeet SinghDhesi.
Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi had his preliminary education at Anandpur Sahib prior to moving to the UK. He studied management studies and mathematics at London’s University College. Mr. Dhesi then pursued Applied Statistics at Oxford University’s Keble College.
