The Express entry draw held on July 12 witnessed a decrease in the Comprehensive Ranking System scores threshold. In this draw candidates in the Express entry pool with CRS scores of 440 and more have been offered the ITA for Canada PR. The total number of candidates that received an ITA in this Express entry draw was 3, 202.
The express entry draw held on July 12 decreased CRS scores threshold by 9 points when compared to the last draw. The previously held draw on June 28, 2017, had CRS threshold scores as 449, as quoted by the CIC News.
The draw held on July 12 is the second draw to be held after modifications were made effective to CRS in June. It was expected that after this changes the CRS threshold scores would increase. The reason for this is that some of the candidates with a sibling in Canada and proficiency in the French language are now entitled to extra CRS points.
Apart from this the extra gap between the Express entry draw held consecutively is also one of the reasons for the increase in CRS threshold scores. Candidates who are now remaining in the Express entry pool can feel confident now as the CRS scores are going downwards. The next draw could actually offer increased number of ITAs as this time there was a slight decrease in the number of ITAs offered.
A total of 54, 487 ITAs have been offered by July 12, 2017, which is more than the total number of ITAs issued in whole 2016. Express entry draw has been declared as the chief propellant of economic immigration to Canada by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada.
