Quebec Province in Canada is witnessing an increase in the number of jobs and this implies that 10,000 more immigrants must be accepted. IDQ - Institut du Québec has recommended strongly in its report that Quebec must accept more immigrants by enhancing its immigration quotas. IDQ also observed that Quebec has low birth rates, an aging population, and its immigrants are moving to other provinces. If the government intends to prevent negative impact on the economy, it must find more workers to fill job vacancies.
IDQ has made two recommendations regarding immigration in order to fortify the economy of Quebec. The first is that the immigration targets must be enhanced to accept 10,000 more immigrants. The second is that immigrants must be offered better pathways to integrate into the society in Quebec through enhanced resources.
By accepting more number of immigrants Quebec will be able to maintain a strong economy by filling job vacancies, added IDQ. The economy of Canada is on the growth trajectory and Quebec is struggling to locate workers to fill job vacancies. Increasing the intake levels of immigration programs is the solution for this, recommended the experts.
The rate of unemployment in Quebec has fallen to just 5.4% and employers are struggling to find workers to fill job vacancies.
