Japan visa application centre opens in Hyderabad, other south Indian cities

Visa application centres of Japan are being opened by the Consulate General of Japan in Chennai in Hyderabad, Kochi, Puducherry and Thiruvananthapuram from 31 March. This is a bid by the Japanese mission to attract more foreign tourists to the Land of the Rising Sun. Hereafter, people wanting to apply for a Japanese visa can do so from the aforementioned cities as well, said The Hindu These centres would be managed by Visa Processing Agency of VFS Global Services Pvt. Ltd.  

 

For more details, interested people can visit the VFS Global website. All the centres, including the one in Hyderabad, would work from Monday through Friday and from 8am to 4pm. The Hyderabad’s visa application centre will operate from Maheshwari Mayank Plaza, Greenlands, Ameerpet. But those who want to apply for diplomatic or official visas or those holding diplomatic and official passports and wanting to apply for visas and others needing visas on humanitarian grounds would need to apply only at Chennai office’s visa counter.
