Visa and Immigration Updates For Indian Travellers

As Indians continue to visit foreign shores for leisure, to attend business events and seminars, medical purpose, and to meet their friends and families abroad, here are some quick Visa and Immigration updates from some parts of the world. Changes to visa fee, visa norms, and visa requirements, for your convenience at a glance.

• NETHERLANDS:

Indian passport holders with a valid visa to USA, Canada, or Schengen are exempted for Caribbean Visa

• GERMANY:

Visa and logistic fees revised for Indian travellers to Germany. The below fees will be effective from 8th Jan, 2015 in Pune, Ahmedabad, and Goa, and from 9th Jan, 2015 in Mumbai.

Update on Family Reunion / Accompanying Family visa

As per the requirement from the Italian Consulate General, Mumbai all applicants below the age of 18 years, including infants applying for Family Reunion/ Accompanying Family visa need to be physically present at the visa application center where they are submitting their visa application.

• MALAYSIA

Indian applicants submitting their applications in Mumbai, Pune, and Ahmedabad will have to furnish a month's Bank Statement (seal and signed) showing a minimum balance of Rs. 30,000/- for Individual applications, and Rs. 60,000/- for Family applications, apart from good history of account transactions. However, if bank statement requirements cannot be fulfilled, an applicant can show confirm Hotel reservation. Booking through Booking.com won't be accepted.
