A cluster of Israeli-Americans and Indian-Americans in the US Silicon Valley have vowed for working together to promote ties between the two nations. This development has come a few days after the historic visit of the Indian Prime Minister to the Jewish state Israel.
American Jewish Federation of Bay Area’s Community Relations Director Diane Fisher said that it a real shared perception that India and Israel will lead the world for its better future. He was speaking at the event on 'Indo-Israel Relations' held at Silicon Valley, as quoted by the Times of India.
The event was organized by the Foundation for India and Indian Diaspora Studies. The collaboration between Indian-Americans and Israeli-Americans in Silicon Valley has received a boost from the visit of Narendra Modi.
The Deputy Consul General of Israel in San Francisco Revital Malca said that this event marks the 25th year of establishment of diplomatic relations between Israel and India. The current visit of Indian Prime Minister to Israel has further highlighted these bilateral ties, added Malca.
Deputy Indian Consul General in San Francisco Rohit Rashith said that India has a wide ranging strategic partnership with Israel. This includes military technologies to agriculture, added Mr. Rohit. Now the focus must be on enhancing collaboration in human capital investment, said the Deputy Indian Consul General in San Francisco. Silicon Valley is best suited to launch this collaboration between Israeli-Americans and Indian-Americans added Mr. Rohit.
Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh’s International Coordinator Saumitra Gokhale in his review highlighted the similarities between Israel and India. He said that both the nations are very ancient, have continuing cultures and are democratic nations. This must further boost ties between India and Isreal, added Gokhale.
