Israel has increased minimum salary for overseas experts with B-1 Work Visas for 2018 with immediate effect. The existing salary of NIS 19, 086 has now been revised to NIS 19, 604.
The revised salary scale is not applicable to experts with Short Employment Authorization Visas. It is also not applicable to STEP Visas with the validity of 3 months. The existing annual salary of overseas experts with B-1 Work Visas is twice the national salary average in Israel.
The employer can add the following benefits in the calculation of the salary if these are formally recorded in the salary slips:
Employers in Israel are required to revise the salary of their overseas immigrant workers, as quoted by the MFA GOV IL. This is to ensure compliance with the latest minimum monthly salary revision.
Laws of the State of Israel mandate that all non-Israeli nationals in the nation must possess work permit prior to being employed. The requirement of work permit and B-1 Work Visas is applicable to diverse kind’s workers.
The application process will be determined by the duration of employment offered to the overseas expert and the profession. Each category has special requirements, features, and processing periods.
Being employed in Israel devoid of the Work Permit and B-1 visa in the overseas expert’s passport for any period of time is an illegal offense. It is likely that the overseas national will be deported in this case. There will also be a 10-year disqualification imposed on the overseas expert to arrive at Israel.
