Immigration New Zealand Advisor has cautioned against uncertified immigration consultants and has urged people to verify the credentials of agents offering help for immigrating to New Zealand. Robert Tiatia the Immigration New Zealand Advisor in Samoa said that the certification from INZ demands agents to regularly upgrade their skills and be updated with the policy.

Ms. Tiatia elaborated that uncertified immigration consultants were offering false information as well as charging thousands of dollars as the fee, as quoted by the Radionz Co NZ.  She added that there are uncertified immigration consultants giving immigration advice and charging a hefty fee.

Many people who have received wrong immigration advice have been witnessed, said the INZ Advisor. This happens every year and people must be cautious regarding uncertified immigration consultants. Their fee is also not cheap, added Ms. Tiatia. Licensed Immigration Advisors are required to update themselves professionally regularly for every aspect of immigration explained the INZ Advisor.

Ms. Tiatia has advised immigrant aspirants to be well informed and take legal action against uncertified immigration consultants who have offered inaccurate immigration advice.

The Immigration Advisers Authority IAA is responsible for offering licenses to advisors and address complaints. It had held an awareness campaign in Samoa in the early part of 2017 regarding this issue. People offering immigration advice in New Zealand must be licensed except if they are legally exempt such as lawyers.

Licensed Immigration Advisors are experts who possess competency standards and follow the code of conduct professionally. They explore the diverse options for visa and help you to opt for the right visa. These advisors prepare your application for the visa and assess your chances for appealing against the refusal of the visa.
