Three Indo-Americans have been nominated formally by President Trump to powerful posts in the US Administration. These are:
The nominations were sent by Trump on 16 January according to reports in the US Media.
Rita currently holds the Gateway for Accelerated Innovation in Nuclear initiative’s Director Position. She will head the influential Office of Nuclear Energy upon confirmation from Senate. Barnwal will also be in charge of the nuclear technology research for the department. It will also be her responsibility to manage and develop the nuclear technology infrastructure of the department.
One of the 3 Indo-Americans, Bazmai is a graduate from Yale University. He writes and teaches about computer crime, national security law, federal courts, administrative law, and civil procedure. Adiyta has served as the US Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia’s Law Clerk. This is also for U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit Judge Jeffrey Sutton, as quoted by the India West.
Bimal Patel is Financial Stability Oversight Council’s Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Treasury. He was earlier the Office of O'Melveny and Myers LLP Washington, DC, Head and Partner of Financial Advisory and Regulation practice.
Patel has also the Senior Advisor to Director Jeremiah O Norton. This was in Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Board of Directors. Bimal was also the Stanford University’s Adjunct Associate Professor. He was teaching banking regulation course at the undergraduate level.
