Indo-American Rajesh Subramaniam has taken over as the CEO and President of FedEx. It is a global courier delivery giant in the US. Subramaniam was earlier the CMO, CCO and Executive Vice President of FedEx Corporation. He has assumed the office of the CEO and President from 1 January 2019.
David L Cunningham was replaced by Subramaniam at the Tennessee-headquartered company. The latter is a graduate from IIT-Bombay and has now been with the corporation for 27 plus years. He has occupied many positions at the executive-level in FedEx, as quoted by the Republic World.
Subramaniam started his career at Memphis and later immigrated to Hong Kong. Here he supervised Customer Service and Marketing for the Asia Pacific region. Rajesh took over as the Canada FedEx President and returned to the US as the international marketing Senior VP.
In 2013, Indo-American Subramaniam was promoted as the Executive Marketing Vice President of FedEx Services. He was later named as the CMO, CCO and Executive Vice President of FedEx Corporation in 2017.
COO and President of FedEx Corporation David J Bronczek said that Rajesh has broad experience and global vision. This makes him distinctively qualified to head our largest operating corporation, he added. As Raj takes over as the CEO, we look forward to the organization’s continued growth within our global portfolio, said the COO.
Rajesh Subramaniam obtained his M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering at the Syracuse University. He earned MBA degree from the Austin’s University of Texas.
