India’s US embassy and consulates increase visa appointments until December

The United States embassy and consulates located in India have hiked the number of visa appointments till December, said a statement issued by the embassy in New Delhi on 14 October.

Indo-Asian News Service quotes the embassy as saying that the US embassy and its consulates in four cities have made a provision for thousands of extra visa appointments until December 2016.

It added that applicant of visas and their family members could make most of this opportunity, which is being offered for a limited period. This has been made possible by temporarily hiking staff to reduce wait time for Indian travellers.

According to the statement, applicants have the option of rescheduling the appointments that they had made previously and encourage their friends and family members who may have missed out on applying for a visa earlier to apply now.
