Obtaining a visa is one of the biggest hassles of planning a trip abroad. Many people have to cancel their overseas trips due to visa issues.

If you too are planning a trip abroad and are worried about getting a visa, then put your worries to rest. The new year brings in great news for Indian travellers. Malaysia offers visa-free travel to Indians all year round in 2020.

Malaysia has extended the visa-free service to India and China. Hence, people of these two countries would be able to travel to Malaysia without a Tourist Visa in 2020.

Indian travellers visiting Malaysia will first need to complete an online registration using the electronic travel registration and information system. They can stay in the country for up to 15 days without a visa.

You can apply for electronic travel registration on your own or through a travel agent.

However, Indian tourists should be aware that entry and exit in Malaysia would only happen through authorized entry points or airports.

People travelling to Malaysia must also be able to show proof of having sufficient funds. They will also need to show their travel itinerary in Malaysia. It is also mandatory for travellers to have a valid return ticket when travelling to Malaysia.

You will be able to travel to Malaysia without a visa three months after completing your electronic travel registration.
