Looking for a Schengen Visa? Y-Axis will guide you through the step-by-step process.
Indians who traveled to Europe on a Schengen visa two times in the past three years can now enter 29 European countries under a new visa category called ‘cascade regime’. This category allows eligible Inidans to travel to Schengen countries for two years as visa-free nationals. Until now, Indians willing to travel to European countries had to apply for Schengen visa and were allowed to stay for a maximum of three months.

Under this new category, ‘cascade regime’ Indians will be given an additional two-year stay in 29 countries. You can enter and stay in these countries multiple times. Later, the stay can also be extended for 5 years. This extension depends on passport validity; if the passport is valid for more than 5 years, then the visa can be extended for 5 years; if the passport is set to expire within three years, then the visa seeker won’t be able to get the Schengen visa extended by five years.
