Indian Passport Ranking Increases in Mar 2024, now travel 62 countries visa-free

Highlights: India has improved its ranking in Mar 2024

• Henley Passport Index shares the rankings of the most powerful passports.
• India has improved its ranking and moved up to the 82nd rank from the 85th rank.
• Now, Indian citizens have visa-free access to 62 destinations.
• Without a visa, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, and Singapore citizens can now travel to 194 out of 227 destinations worldwide.

 

India has improved its ranking and moved to 82nd position.

India has improved to the 82nd position on the Global Passport Index in March, up from 85th in February. The index gets updated monthly and reveals the top six countries, granting their citizens visa-free access to a record number of destinations. Among these, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, and Singapore lead the list, enabling its citizens to travel to 194 out of 227 destinations without a visa.

 

India increased its rankings from 85th to 82nd in March; now, it has visa-free access to 62 destinations. Countries like Sri Lanka, Kenya and Thailand added India to their visa-free lists last year.
