A 19-year Indian-origin youth Akshay Ruparelia has become the youngest millionaire in the UK. He has made a fortune by selling residential properties via digital real estate agency during lunch breaks at his school.
Akshay Ruparelia’s fellow classmates would have spent their leisure hours at the playground participating in sports. Meanwhile, the A 19 years Indian-origin youth was silently closing huge property deals through his mobile. He availed services of the call center to attend his clients on the switchboard of his firm when he was in class. Akshay then called back his clients after school hours.
Investors started buying shares in the firm owned by the Indian-origin youth within few months. Doorsteps.co.uk is now valued at 12 million pounds in just little over a year. Akshay has already sold homes worth 100 million pounds.
The teenager with Indian origin says that he aims to put out of business conventional high street estate agents. The reason – these agents cost the clients thousands of pounds as a commission for selling a house while he is doing it for just 99 pounds.
Akshay’s concept is increasingly becoming popular. Last week his firm became the 18th biggest real estate agency in the UK just 16 months after the website going live.
Akshay Ruparelia borrowed 7,000 pounds as a loan from his relatives to start his firm. He now employs 12 people and will be doubling the strength of his staff. To get their hands of the firm’s shares investors have already handed him over 500, 000 pounds, as quoted by the Times of India.
The teenager is raising 5 million pounds by issuing shares. He is also expanding by recruiting a network of mums in the UK who are self-employed. These will be showing the properties to the clients that have to be sold.
