Indian Entrepreneur wins UK award for business for Innovative IT solutions

The UK award for business for Innovative IT solutions has been won by Indian Entrepreneur for his efforts to fetch innovative IT solutions and services to Africa. CEO of Subah Birendra Sasmal won the Global Business Person – 2017 at the London’s Asian Achievers Awards. The UK award was conferred to him for transforming his firm into a successful manufacturing, telecoms and IT solution provider with operations in West Africa. Sasmal who hails from West Bengal in India said that the firm is successful because it is devoted to offering innovative solutions to solve issues. This was not only for Africa but globally added the UK award winner. For instance, in Ghana, the firm is carrying out the largest collection of household data and building and streets mapping exercise in the Africa’s history said the CEO of Subah. The information collated from this 3-year project will assist the government to accurately plan the expansion of municipal services. This includes medical facilities, schools, and roads. It will also help to maximize its revenues by appropriate application of property taxes. The Subah group employs around 350 staff having its offices in Sierra Leone, Guinea, Dubai and New York City. Its headquarters are in Accra, Ghana, as quoted by the Times of India. The revenues of the Subah Group have increased by 3000% under the leadership of Sasmal. It has been named amongst one of the fastest growing IT companies in Africa. Sasmal said that since he immigrated to Ghana the most striking transformation has been the number of people who use mobiles and internet as in India. The firm is also collaborating with operators and government in West Africa to minimize fraud, added Sasmal.
