Indian Embassy in US  warned e-tourist visa applicants about fake Indian visa websites Indian Embassy in America has warned e-tourist visa applicants about fake Indian visa websites and has informed them that the right website to apply for them is via indianvisaonline.gov.in. They were advised against depending on any other website for availing these visa services. India New England quotes Indian Embassy as saying in its advisory on its website that they were informed that numerous fake visa websites claiming to offer e-tourist visa services were operating on the internet. It added that some of these, which have been created with intent to mislead applicants, have images and page templates resembling those of the Government of India websites for applicants of e-tourist visas. Among the websites they were told to avoid were e-touristvisaindia.com, indianvisaonline.org.in, e-visaindia.com and indiavisa.org.in. The advisory added that it was advising that the proper website was indianvisaonline.gov.in. Visa applicants in the US were also informed that for normal visa applications, besides e-Tourist visa, they need to visit the website www.ckgs.us to get information and submit an application.
