Renowned Indian-American lawyer Manisha Singh has been nominated to a crucial US diplomatic post by US President Donald Trump. She has been nominated to a crucial administration post in the US State Department as the in-charge of the Economic diplomacy.
Manisha Singh the Indian-American lawyer is at present the Senior Policy Advisor and Chief Counsel for Dan Sullivan the US Senator. Upon confirmation from Senate, she would be replacing Charles Rivkin as the economic affairs Assistant Secretary of State. Ms. Singh’s nomination has already been sent to the US Senate, as quoted by the Times of India.
The position of economic affairs Assistant Secretary of State is vacant since January 2017 when Rivkin resigned as Donald Trump was sworn in as the new President of the US. Manisha Singh has served as the Bureau of Economic, Energy and Business Affairs Deputy Assistant Secretary of State. She has also served as the Senior Assistant to the Foreign Relations Committee of the US Senate.
The private sector experience of the Indian-American lawyer includes working in-house at investment banks and practicing law at international law firms. Ms. Singh secured LLM from the American University Washington College of Law in International Legal Studies. Apart from this she also obtained University of Florida College of Law’s JD and University of Miami’s BA when she was 19 years old.

Manisha Singh was born in Uttar Pradesh and moved to the US in her childhood along with her parents. She is fluent in speaking the Hindi language.
