India to resume regular international flights from March 27 Abstract: After the delay in the resumption of international flights, India will be starting the services from March 27, 2022.

Highlights:

  • India will start its international flight operations on March 27, 2022.
  • The resumption of the international flight was scheduled for December 15, 2021, but it was stalled because of the threat of a new COVID-19 variant.
  • After the suspension of international flight services, India operated under the air bubble method.
After two years of being non-operational due to the pandemic, India will be resuming its international flight services from March 27, 2022. The move comes after taking into account the vaccinated rates and declining cases of COVID-19 globally. An order from the Indian government reads that the flights would run routinely from the beginning of the summer schedule. Want to work abroad? Y-Axis will guide you in your journey.

Guidelines for International Travel

The Indian Civil Aviation Ministry said the passengers are expected to adhere to the health guidelines set by the Ministry of Health.
  • No classifications of the risk category for other countries
  • India recommends self-monitoring for two weeks for symptoms, instead of the previous rule of home quarantine for one week
  • Passengers will have to submit a negative RT-PCR report, which has been taken not more than 72 hours before the flight
  • Passengers should upload a certificate of being fully vaccinated and schedules
  • A self-declaration form at Suvidha Web Portal is to be filled by abroad travelers
  • Uploading of two weeks of history of travel before the scheduled flight
Before the resumption of international flights, India had been plying flights for 31 countries in an arrangement of air bubbles. An air bubble was a temporary travel arrangement before commercial flights could function normally. Want to study abroad? Y-Axis is here to assist you in the procedures.
