Increase in the number of overseas workers arriving in New Zealand

New Zealand has emerged as one of the most considered nation for the immigrants in the year that went by. The updated statistics from the government have revealed that New Zealand continues to witness the arrival of a high number of overseas immigrants. The information for the month of November 2016 shows that there was a yearly net gain of 70, 400 which was more than the record for the month of October, as quoted by the Expat Forum. Statistics manager of the Statistics New Zealand population Jo-Anne Skinner has said that the yearly net increase in the immigration was a result of the hike in the arrival of immigrants and the decrease in immigrants who departed from New Zealand. The overall overseas immigrant's arrival was 126, 700 for the November 2016 which is a new record for the yearly statistics. The analysis of the statistics reveals that the immigrants who arrived in New Zealand with the work authorization contributed for one-third of the total immigrants. This indicates that there is availability of jobs for immigrants who wish to arrive in New Zealand for jobs. The numbers show that around 41, 200 immigrants arrived in New Zealand with work authorization that accounts for 33% of the total immigrants. Immigrants who arrived with student visas were 24,600 or 19% and there were 16,500 immigrants who entered the nation with resident authorization. The total number of immigrants who arrived in New Zealand in November 2016 was 333,600 which sets a new record for the month of November and is 11% increase when compared to November 2015. The yearly visitor arrivals went up to a record 3.45 million which was 12% more than November 2015. The statistics also reveal that residents in New Zealand created a new yearly record with 2.58 million overseas tours in November 2016 which was an increase of 8% when compared with November 2015. In the month of November 2016, the residents of New Zealand made a record 208, 400 tours overseas which was an increase of 14% when compared with the data for November 2015.
